New personal accounts include free starter credits so a first small event can be licensed without buying a pack. Organisation wallets start at 0 — buy shared capacity when the team needs it.
Today’s starter allowance is 25 credits (about £100 at the current standard pack rate*). That equivalent can change; the app always shows what you have.

Early adopters
Existing events stay free at their current capacity. Personal accounts created before 16 September 2026 received a larger thank-you balance (100 credits at the then pack rate). Newer personal accounts get the current free starter allowance.
How payment works behind the scenes (credits)
Eventplot uses credits as the unit of Event Licence capacity: 1 credit = 1 slot. Pack prices set the cash value*. Free starter credits on new personal accounts are spent when you create or upgrade a licence — not at publish, and not on the event day. Credits live in a personal or organisation wallet. Buy packs in the app when you need more.
FAQ
How long does a licence last? 14 months from when the event and licence were created (a full planning season plus a buffer). Extend by upgrading. Your map, schedule and website stay editable — the licence is about how many vendors, performers, stages and sponsors that event is licensed for.
Do I get credits back if I delete a vendor? No. Capacity stays on the licence until you change the counts.
