AIF has launched Festival MOT, funded by the LIVE Trust: selected independent music festivals in or nearing crisis get a confidential panel (finance, production, marketing, ops) and a tailored action plan. Open to members and non-members; consultations run October–December 2026. AIF’s CEO John Rostron cited dozens of cancellations/postponements this year as the backdrop (per Festival Insights).

Why outdoor organisers care (Eventplot angle): when a festival is under pressure, site layout, vendor counts and stage capacity still have to stay clear for the team and for funders. Eventplot keeps the outdoor plan editable — and an Event Licence is a finite cost line, not another monthly meter.
