Cambridge Folk Festival ran a custom interactive 3D map on phones and browsers for the 2026 weekend at Cherry Hinton Hall — BlueProof’s first UK festival deployment, working with Cambridge City Council.

Visitors could find stages, food and drink traders and amenities without installing an app, plus live schedule updates and notifications across the sold-out two-day event (1–2 August). BlueProof later published weekend figures: 7,530 unique visitors overall (4,360 across the festival weekend), 30,000+ map opens, about 4.6 opens per user, and weekend unique visitors equivalent to roughly 71% of ticket holders.

Why Eventplot: a visitor map alone is only half the job. Eventplot gives you a fully editable interactive 3D planning map — stages, plots, infrastructure and vendors you can move, resize and publish as you go — plus proper vendor management tied to those pitches, live schedules, and a public attendee map + event website that stay in sync with the plan. One connected workspace for the organiser, the traders and the crowd — not a bespoke 3D layer bolted on for the weekend. That is a dramatically better day-to-day ops tool, and a better visitor experience when the site keeps changing.
