Waterworks Festival’s first two-day park edition at Gunnersbury did not happen — organisers said in May that the park still lacked planning permission for the September 2026 dates, and moved the show to The Cause in Canning Town as a continuous 36-hour “Waterworks Extended” programme.
Tickets bought for the park remained valid; refunds were offered for anyone who wanted a field, not a warehouse. Intention to return to Gunnersbury in 2027. One delayed consent, five event days wiped off that park’s summer calendar according to reporting.
Why organisers care: the bill can survive; the map usually cannot. When the footprint changes late, you need one live site plan — not three emailed PDFs and a designer on nights.
